    Then, a tentative peace arrives.

    The cage cracks open, and Luke's leash extends just enough for him to carry lost children through the dark. But Olympus hasn't forgotten its hatred, and the Light burns with old grudges. Luke is supposed to stick to his duties, but that’s the problem: when a call echoes out from San Francisco, the forbidden West his father repeatedly warned him against, he should have just ignored it.

    But since when did Luke ever listen to the gods?

    (Or: Luke ascends. It’s lonelier than he expected, worship is unsettling, and the Roman gods are watching—with interest.)

    Homelander had picked him for this. The powerful supe could have anyone doing this and he had chosen him. No matter the reason Homelander tried to excuse it with, he had chosen him.

    Deep was not going to fail his hero.

    (Ch.2 Homelander's POV) Homelander's lip twitched in annoyance. He hadn't been expecting this. Hadn't planned on truly enjoying getting sucked off by Deep. No, Homelander had been expecting the weaker supe's nerves to cripple his performance. He had been expecting a mediocre blow job at best. Not one of the best damn orgasms of his life.
