It has been a year now and currently March 2024, Billy Butcher is currently keeping his hands clean and working with Frenchie and Kimiko at the their hideout when MM and Hughie left. MM is currently celebrating his daughter, Janine’s birthday with his ex-wife, Monica who is with Todd, a pro-supe supporter. Hughie is working his new friend, Victoria Neuman also known as Congresswoman at the FBSA (Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs) in New York. Butcher receives a text from Queen Maeve saying that they need to talk as Maeve sees Homelander threatening A-train and making him pay for it.

Well, she wasn’t playing anymore. Annie let go of the sink and passed by his side to leave, but his hand wrapped around her wrist so quickly she couldn’t stop it. She let out a shaky breath, her heart beating so hard she swore it could break her ribcage. She shook, turning her head to look at him.
“Let go of me” she said in a voice so thin it was embarrassing.
But his iron grip did not loosen. For a moment Annie wondered how was she gonna get out of there. For a moment she was ready to try and blind him or blast him away. Scared, but ready.
“How’s my son?” he asked suddenly, eyes no longer dead as they had been during the poses and the pictures “Have you seen him?
“No…I haven’t”
Something flashed through his eyes, something that made them shine blue instead of red. It wasn’t anger. Anie squinted her eyes. Was that…a tear? Was he crying?
Did he…care?
Why did he care? Could he even really care? Was that built in his narcissistic sociopathic mind?
