I know that during this time I can rest, watch TV, play, and see his tall figure watching me. Even though I see him every day, it still feels like the first time I've ever laid eyes on him.

Rey has just been released from the hospital and is trying to adjust to a new life alongside her sister Kira and the enigmatic Ben, the brother-in-law who now holds a central place in her older sister’s life, thus pushing Rey aside. Rey begins to experience new symptoms of an illness — a strange bleeding appears on her neck, accompanied by nausea and headaches.
Rey/Hux is only seen in Chapter 4, which is quite dark. Read the warnings before reading.

Sometimes I wonder if places can hold memories. Not like photos, but like invisible scars—like when you brush against a closed wound and still feel the sting.
The bus that brought me rattled down the avenue, and I held my résumé folder tightly, even though there wasn’t much in it. No completed studies, no relevant experience. Just a handwritten letter of recommendation from the lady who rents me a room. “Responsible and quiet,” it said. That was the closest thing to a compliment I’d received in years.
I spent my whole childhood in a trailer that reeked of beer and cigarettes. My father yelled more than he spoke, and my mother laughed at everything, even when she cried. School wasn’t a refuge either. I had a very soft voice, sometimes I stuttered, and that was enough to be everyone's punchline. So I became invisible. Silent. Untouchable.
I wish I had been invisible that day.

Summary
Amon wins au. Korra is kidnapped and imprisoned after challenging Amon to fight at Aang Memorial Island. Amon also keeps Tarrlok captive but allows him to keep his bending. Bonded to Amon and Tarrlok through trauma, uncomfortable feelings develop for Korra as she navigates how to escape and save Republic City.
