Summary
Grover has never regretted keeping the empathy link with his best friend, Percy Jackson, but when Percy falls into Tartarus, Grover feels more things than he wants to. Everybody thought that Grover's stress and anxiety as because of the Romans threatening to attack Camp Half-Blood. No one thought that it was because of the emotions Percy was feeling when he was in Tartarus, and that it was painful for Grover because he couldn't do anything about it. Everybody forgot about Grover's empathy link with Percy.

Keith looks between the children and the hat, too confused to glare, sweaty and horrid from pulling weeds beneath the scorching sun. “What?”
“That’s wrong,” Nadia complains, and yanks her brother down to her level to whisper the correction in his ear.
“Ooh,” Silvio amends. “Tía Veronica said you have a pale ass. My Abuela said you’re gonna die.”

When Lance is fatally wounded during their final battle, the blue lion enters a deep hibernation with Lance inside. Unsure when or if he’ll wake, Keith is forced to wait and watch over him in the company of the people he fears most: Lance’s family.

You wonder if he was sweating under all those layers as you allowed yourself the indulgence of really taking him in. He wears heavy black fabric under all of his armor. You wore light and flowy dresses and you always felt like it was too hot. You also wonder if he purposefully makes his voice lower, he must scream into a pillow or something to make it that raspy. You didn’t like how warm it suddenly got in here.
