Noelle stared into the toilet, the orangish yellow vomit filling it a common sight. She just sat there in front of it. Staring.
Then, with a speed that made her have to clutch the sink for support, she got up. Her phone screen stared daggers at her. She opened the messaging app again, making sure the message was real.
At 8:30 PM, two hours ago, Susie had texted, ‘Kris tried to kill self’ then ‘On way to hospital’
Noelle looked into the mirror— into her blood red eyes. The eyes Kris— no, it gave her.
Essentially, Kris tries to kill themself, and Noelle refuses to let them face it alone.
I kept it pretty light with the suicide attempt part of it, but it's still addressed in fic. I don't think it deserves a graphic depictions of violence, because it's only a bit of internal dialogue and some external dialogue, and no actual like actions. -

As Nick’s eyes open, a completely different person faces her in the mirror. The stranger wears a long white dress with little angel wings poking out behind. Makeup accentuates the softness of her face and makes her eyes look much more feminine.

“Have you thought of a name yet?” Dess asks, snapping her out of her staring.
She has not. Oh no. “No,” she says.
“Do you want to come up with one together?”
“Yes!” She lunges at her sister, wrapping her in a hug. “Yes! Yes! Yes!”Basically I wanted Noelle's transness and her transitioning to be the whole point of the fic. By circumstance Noelle (who's deadname is Nick (which she will go by for most of the fic)) stumbles into the closet (ha) just before Kris and Susie enter, tangling her in the events of Deltarune much more closely.
Hey y'all, this new chapter and the completed status for the fic is because I'm not going to be working on it anymore. The final chapter has my future drafts for stuff in chapters 2-4, but I don't really want to write it out in a complete narrative

Melon has always only found joy in killing and manipulating people. He enjoyed history for a while, but there's only so many dramatic betrayals and reunions you can learn about before it all blends together. What if, in prison, Melon found (or was forced to find) something he enjoyed—something besides killing, something that will never get old? What then?

"Please paint a picture."
"Why? Are you going to use it to psycho-analyze me? Hmm... Let me guess the results." Melon brought his hand up to cover his mouth in fake shock. "I'm fucking crazy."
Melon doubled over laughing as Yahya said again, annoyance creeping into his voice, "Please paint a picture."
"Only if you tell me why~" Melon wished he wasn't restrained so he could lay on the table and start kicking his feet. They had him locked up tight, even his horns had blunt caps at the end to prevent him from doing anything with them.
"The Mayor instituted a new policy requiring that all prisoners get 'leisure time.' He explicitly told me to introduce you to some hobby. Now, please paint a picture."

While she was at it, why not send her dads a message? Like, hey, guess who got a new phone? She got down to the V, about to click on Vander's contact to tell him of her newest adventure, when an emoji caught her attention.
It was the only contact with an emoji in place of a name. More specifically, a thumbs down emoji.
Jinx had no clue who it was. Neither did she remember ever creating the contact. She opened up the log, but there wasn't even a message history between them. She was insanely curious over who they could be.
She opened up their contact, typing out a ‘Hey so I saved your number as 👎. Any idea what might have caused this??’ before clicking send.
The reply came a few minutes later.
👎: Guess who?
After finding a mysterious contact on her phone, Jinx finds herself roped into a never-ending guessing game, the stranger on the other end of the line both closer and farther than she could've ever expected.
