Summary
Ryusui was lonely. Incredibly so. He tried to find comfort in Sai, but Sai was too busy studying or coding. He bounced around from temporary caretaker to temporary caretaker until he was old enough to manage himself most of the time. Their uncle took general care of them, but left them to their own devices for the most part.
Sai was tired. He didn't want to study math, but he didn't have a choice. What precious free time he had was dedicated to the playing or coding of games. He tried to protect Ryusui from what he could, but he was just so tired. He just wanted to get away from it all for a bit.
And then Francois came along. And everything changed.

Summary
This was supposed to be a quick little study into how I view Stanley and Xeno's relationship; and an explanation for some relationship terminology I use in my fics. Instead it turned into this monstrosity.
Or: A cross between a fake scientific paper and a fic exploring the relationship between Xeno and Stanley. (Manga spoilers ahead; up to chapter 221.)
Rated teen for the mildly graphic scenes (mostly in chapter two), and also for repeated language. Stanley is the main reason for that. I can't really see a world where he's not a filthy mouthed piece of shit, lmao.

Summary
Ishigami Senku was the most imaginative mind in his district, with high hopes of destroying the whole corrupt system keeping them trapped. Asagiri Gen, the cunning, manipulative bastard, wanted nothing more than some peace and quiet. Nanami Ryusui was eccentric, but kind-hearted, who, for once, wasn't sure what exactly he wanted other than *out*. Saionji Ukyo, the quiet but deadly archer, just wanted this whole thing to stop.
Book one is mostly setup, establishing relations and motivations for everyone. And the games. The games are a big part. Book two centers more on how everyone’s relationships develop and change. And overthrowing the government. That bit is also kind of important.

Then, it was calm.
As the two scientists spun around, their jaws dropped in perfect unison. Stanley was gone, leaving someone else in his place: a boy, only ten or eleven years old, who looked feverishly around the room. With his golden hair and the stick of a lollipop flitting between his teeth, it took Senku little time to realize who he was. Xeno, on the other hand, would remember that face better than his own—no matter how many thousands of years it'd been since he'd seen it.
