Somehow, Toph knew that Sokka was grinning stupidly as he asked, “What are you doing for break, Toph?”
“What I always do,” she furrowed her eyebrows, giving him a shrug as she sat back down on the chair she had warmed up, but this time, she tucked her legs under herself. “Stay here and work out and eat. Why?”
“Untrue,” Sokka said, a smile in his voice as well that almost made Toph don one of her own, but she fought against it. “Because, according to my sources, you’re coming on a mini-vacation with us.”

It's winter break at Ba Sing Se University and Toph was under the impression she would stay on-campus like she always did, but Sokka had other plans.

“No—Sokka, you can’t carry me to the clinic.”
“Yes, I can!” he protests, panting a bit as he speed-walks toward their destination. “And I will because you’re having a baby.”
Heaving a sigh, Toph nods at the ground, making a bundle of earth pop out of the sidewalk and hold her boyfriend’s feet in place. “Actually, I’m not.”

“Oh, and, uh, Sokka,” Hakoda says on his way out of the dojo, catching his son’s attention. “You should keep an eye on the dock tonight, son. Some… precious cargo should be arriving for you soon.”
Sokka eyes the somewhat knowing and smug look on his father’s face with suspicion. He’s about to question him, but Hakoda is already on his way out.
Immediately, he turns to look at his sister with obvious skepticism. “What was that?”
Katara pushes her bottom lip out and shrugs to make an unconvincing show of her cluelessness. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, big brother.”
