Summary
"Please. I have to help her," they murmur, voice hoarse from a long time spent not speaking with others. It cracks underneath the pressure of tears.
They shake, and nearly collapse to their knees. Hornet rushes from where she was previously rooted over to them, catching them before they fall and settling them back on the ground with care.
"You can barely stand, let alone walk," Hornet says in a gentle but firm tone.
"It doesn't matter," Phantom insists. "I have already failed Lace once. I can't let it happen again."
