Before, they were only as close as Billy let anyone get, but lately the distance between them has been shrinking. He’s not the kind of guy who likes to talk about himself. Mostly he listens, prods, collects, but never offers. He learned young that when you’ve got a brain like he does you can’t afford to tell people what you’re thinking or how you really feel. Stu isn’t one of those people though, Stu has to keep his thoughts secret too and now this is theirs to keep, between them.

Summary
AU where Michael is rescued by "The Man in Black", our one and only Ghostface. In this AU the Cult of Thorn doesn't exist. Danny, who had been traveling cross-country to cover up yet another set of murders, had just happened to be in the area and was alerted to Michael's capture by a premature news report. As one does, he did everything he could to ensure his long time idol's legacy wasn't ended there. After Danny himself is whisked off to The Fog several years later, he is forced to reconcile with the strange new environment he finds himself in, surprised to find a familiar face among the crowd of rotting, bloodthirsty delegates.
