Summary
Obsession if Bear didn't suck and Nikki and Sarah got together.
Instead of being selfish and buying a One Wish Willow, Bear gets Nikki the citrine crystal necklace to replace her lost one. But this isn't about him- this is Obsession, non-toxic, from Sarah's perspective. As she and Nikki get closer in Nikki's attempts to avoid Bear, Sarah realizes she's lost feelings for him. Which is great, until she starts having feelings for Nikki, who decidedly is not in a place to be in a relationship- and Sarah's leaving soon to go to art school.
Slow burn, sweet love story. Not the same thing as a romance :)

Neither of us spoke. Nikki’s gaze flickered to my face, and my pulse jumped.
Then, very gently; she leaned in. Her lips pressed a soft kiss against my cheek. The contact lasted barely a second, but my entire body short-circuited. Heat exploded across my face. I froze and my eyes widened. I went bright red, my heart pounding so hard I was sure she could hear it.
She pulled back just enough to smile, her brown eyes sparkling. “I can’t wait for Friday….”

Surviving is the easy part, everything that comes after it is hard. Your scars can still open up, no matter how long it's been.
But maybe it doesn't have to be so hard.
They survived the mountain, but healing takes more than time. Sam and Jess aren't falling for each other- they can't be. They're just...helping each other feel human again. Thats all.It can't be more. It just can't.
But the way it feels, the way she stares at her, post-trauma bonding isn't supposed to feel like this.
