Summary
Then, Young-il—In-ho—paused—just long enough for effect. He blinked rapidly, feigning slight embarrassment, his tongue darting out quickly to wet his lips. “And, well… we might need to sleep… closer together to share body heat.”
The others froze—not from the cold, but from that statement.
Jun-hee let out a small, nervous cough, suddenly very interested in her shoes.
Dae-ho made a strangled noise. “...I—uh—what?”
Jung-bae, however, whipped his head around so fast it was a miracle he did not snap his own neck. “Wait. You want us to do what?”
Gi-hun, still processing the sudden shift in energy, stared at Young-il, his face now flaming. He could have sworn—just before the other man had made that statement—he had been looking right at him.
Or: In-ho, posing as fellow player Young-il, devises increasingly ridiculous ways to get closer to Gi-hun.

Summary
Gi-hun Seong was a bad detective and an idiot.
Such was In-ho's impression of the man who had shown up out of nowhere to ask him for help on a mission that would likely prove fatal to one or two policemen. However, given In-ho's other option was to die of either boredom or misery, the offer was tempting. At least to some degree.
And if he were to be completely honest, what did he have left to lose?A story exploring what would have happened if Gi-hun and In-ho had joined forces as detectives in bringing the games that had ruined their lives to a definite end. Perhaps it was dangerous. Downright stupid even to challenge an organization that expansive and ruthless as spies living out the pretenses of Frontman and masked officer. But once the idea was there, it wouldn't leave them alone. Whispering promises of something great. Something worth staying alive for.
