Alternate plot to S03E01, Manny Come Home, where Bernard forgets how to look after himself and suffers some more realistic (over the top?) consequences for a man who lived in filth for weeks.
Basically I got bored and wanted to explore some possible outcomes from the whole ‘Manny and Fran leaving Bernard on his own even though he’s a fully grown man and should be able to look after himself but won’t,’ debacle.

Summary

His voice dies in his throat. The open file lays in front of him. He’s seen far too many dead bodies before. He’s seen a fair amount of things carved into victims too. This, though— this makes the air grow stale. The chair he’s in feels like a prison. His headache comes back with a vengeance. He tries to swallow, but his throat is dry.
Carved into the victim’s back is “Romans 12:1”.
