“Twenty pounds,” Eddie says to Hen on the firehouse couch, who’s eating a ham sandwich and reading a medical magazine.
“Huh?” She asks, because she has no context.
“I’ve gained twenty pounds since Buck and I started dating. That’s five months, that’s — that’s a lot, right?”
“Not really,” Hen lowers her magazine, “that seems like normal relationship weight, Eddie.”
Eddie leans on the couch, framing his forehead with his hand. “Buck’s gonna ruin me,” he says, completely ignoring her.
“Already happened,” Chimney says, deciding to sit on the arm of the couch. “What are we talking about?”
After gaining some weight in a happy relationship, Eddie is forced to examine his relationship with food, his body, and his self-worth.

Summary
“Sorry about being late, I was-.” Eddie quickly stops when he sees Buck, his mouth going dry. The hotel door key in his hand slips out of his grip and drops to the carpet.
Buck’s sitting in the lounge chair in the corner, his tie off, white dress shirt undone at the top under his black suit jacket, and a glass of whiskey in his hand- but he’s not mad. Not in the slightest. His eyes are daring and intense when he looks to Eddie over the edge of his glass and says, “Hey, baby.”
Buck’s legs are spread in a way that makes Eddie’s heart race; he stumbles out an, “H-Hi.”

“I— uh... you probably— y’know what— no, uh, just—“ it’s not Eddie’s finest moment, but he bounces his knee and knocks his boyfriend’s head awake on his lap, earning a dazed grumble from Buck.
“Oh! Look! Buck’s awake! Time for nachos, I guess!” Eddie awkwardly chuckles through his panicking.
OR; Buck misses having the upper hand and practicing the art of seduction. Eddie craves being under the control of such a gorgeous man. Thus, Buck 1.0 Night was born.

Eddie could push Buck away, could leave the party now and never see the guy again. It was what he should do, but he didn’t want to. One night of lingering looks and wandering hands couldn’t hurt, right?
Placing his hands on either side of Buck’s hips, Eddie pulled the man to him, closing the gap between them. Buck let out a sharp breath, Eddie knowing he’d caught the man off guard.
Those blues hovered right in front of him, Buck appearing nervous for the first time that night, licking at his lips, almost hesitating. Eddie couldn’t have that.
