Summary
Jayce Talis is Piltover High’s posterboy. Athletic, handsome, popular—a proper socialite, and yet somehow just ever-so-slightly short of meeting debate team president Mel Medarda’s standards.
Viktor is everything Jayce is not. When he’s not holed up in the chem lab or poring over a textbook, he’s trying to keep his neighborhood friend group, the Zaunites, out of trouble.
The two could not be more opposite, but after crossing paths in a slightly delinquent stint, they find their differences might be complementary: Viktor’s brain power helping Jayce win the science fair (and hopefully Mel’s heart along with it), in exchange for Jayce’s influence assisting the Zaunites dodge authority.
Of course, neither of them get quite what they want out of the deal. But as it turns out, that might be for the better.
