Summary
Thomas managed to catch what he'd thought was a simple cold, only to quickly develop fatigue and a fever. He tried to sit and watch tv to feel better, but Logan had insisted that he take some fever reducers, drink a full glass of water, and then head off to bed. The other sides had claimed Logan was being too strict and that he should just let Thomas relax, but after enough time listening to his sides arguing with each other, Thomas eventually went upstairs to go sleep anyway.
And that was when Logan started acting a bit…off.

Summary
Odysseus is crowned as king once again.
He shook his head, chuckling lightly, though his gaze held something like wonder. “Penelope,” he went on, as if clearing up a simple misunderstanding. “It is you who ensured my crown remained for me to reclaim at all.”
She opened her hands to him, responding to his movement without thought, as easily as she might thread her loom. She cupped his face, and he held her there, nuzzling into her palm as his eyes briefly flitted closed. Something within him seemed to relax, like a bowstring near snapping that was loosened just in time, relieved now to be within its proper shape and no longer bent to breaking. She breathed in time with him, stroking his cheeks, the warm contentment of this — of him — flowing like a river through her.
His voice was low, reverent, as if he knelt at an altar rather than her feet.

Listen, all high school days suck, this one was just shaping up to suck more than literally all of the other ones ever. Namely, he was stuck in a class where not only was there a homophobic argument going on—as in, both sides are being homophobic and just debating on how best to be homophobic—but the teacher is doing literally fucking nothing to stop them.

At some point, Virgil will work out the exact science of how much to say 'yes' to friends who desperately want to do holiday-spirit-festive-stuff because they're his friends and he loves being there to watch them love things, but he also does not enjoy dying of either pain or sensory overload. This year doesn't look to be one of those years where he does better than others, though, if being surrounded by screaming children and off-key grainy speakers belting Mariah Carey for the past Too Fucking Long is any indication. He ducks his head to avoid yet another flying something-or-other as he huddles in on himself, making sure his cane doesn't get knocked over for the fourth time in as many minutes.

He turns, half expecting someone selling cotton candy or those little memorabilia keychains, and—
