“For you!” Julian cried, shoving a fistful of weeds in Renfri’s direction, his smile wide and carefree.
Renfri carefully took them in her hands that were only shaking a little bit now, smearing red onto green stems and yellow petals.Julian clambered into the bed beside her and crawled halfway onto her lap. “I got you flowers, ‘cause you’re so pretty like them!”
“These aren’t flowers, they’re weeds.” Renfri told him, rolling her eyes but allowing the contact with ease. Somedays it seemed like Julian was the only person in the entire castle who wasn’t afraid of her.
“They look like flowers.” He said, crinkling his nose.
“They’re dandelions,” Renfri informed her brother with a tiny smile, “They grow everywhere, even places they perhaps shouldn’t. That’s why they’re a weed.”
“Perhaps they’re a little like you,” She teased, “Growing in even the scariest of places with no fear.” Like a monster’s heart, she doesn’t say.
“Like a superpower!” Julian gasped.
Renfri separated one dandelion from the little clutch and reached out to tuck it behind a little ear. “For the stubborn hero, Jaskier.”

Summary
The first time Five lies, really lies, he's four-years-old and taking the blame for something he didn't do.
And then he doesn't stop.

Five lies to everyone. He lies to his father, to his siblings, and even to himself.
(Five has broken himself apart and put himself back together so many times over the course of his life. When you're broken, you use whatever is at hand to glue yourself back together. Love and loyalty and determination, of course. But hate and spite and fury all work as well.
Five never noticed when he started gluing himself together with lies. Lies are not very good glue, they come apart too easily.)

Summary
When Five is four, his powers are new and unwieldy. It's no surprise that he gets lost, but it is that a blue box appears in the alley, awash with the same blue energy that Five knows as his own. She tickles in the back of his head, warm and present and inviting. He asks her if they can be friends. She says yes.
She shows up again. And again. Five grows up with blue at his fingertips and the ability to jump through time and space. He grows up sneaking out and dodging the TARDIS's madman with his many faces, folding himself under a variety of consoles and talking for hours with his first and only friend.
He's twelve when he asks her if he she thinks he can time travel. He's twelve when she says yes, and shows him how.
He's thirteen when he leaps forward and something is terribly wrong and the blue energy twists and screams because time is wrong and he's jumped into a future that should not be. The energy might not obey but there's another way.
He calls, she answers.

The Doctor has been going to the same city for lifetimes. She isn't expecting an apocalypse that shouldn't be, and an impossible boy.

Summary
The first time Five holds a gun in his hands he’s seven-years-old and wishing he could be anywhere else.
When they’re eight, Reginald starts sending them on ‘practice’ missions. He tells them that it’s preparation for their debut which is scheduled to be in two years, to make sure that they don’t mess anything up or hesitate at a critical moment.
In the apocalypse, he picks up the gun without thinking about it. It’s nothing special - there are plenty of guns lying around is the ruins of houses and police stations and megamarts.
In the Commission, he really should have known better. When they say fix the timeline, they mean eliminate the problems. And by eliminate the problem, they mean that while they can’t abide by getting their own hands dirty, they can have Five take care of the issue without a fuss.
Five holds a gun in his hands. He’s thirteen-years-old. He’s fifty-eight-years-old. He’s forgotten how old he is. Five holds a gun in his hands, and wishes he could be anywhere else.

Summary
When Five Hargreeves is four-years-old, he discovers his power.
He also discovers a whole lot more than that.
They’re all figuring out their powers, and as a consequence they all move out of the nursery into their own rooms after a somewhat unfortunate incident regarding the discovery of Six’s powers. Regardless, Five isn’t very fond of the new arrangement because he’s lonely.
He can’t sleep without the sounds of his siblings around him. One’s sleepy whuffling and Four’s random exclamations, Six shuffling around and Two kicking his blankets off in the night. It’s too quiet.
That is, of course, when the man falls into his room.

Summary
Five has a lot of issues. Like, a LOT of issues.
A lot of them tie directly back to his around forty years of isolation surviving the apocalypse. Just some general fics about Five's siblings learning about some of his issues and finding out more about what it takes to survive against all odds and how deeply it has impacted their youngest oldest brother.
Five has a lot of growing up to do, and a lot of learning to accomplish. But his family is there for him through it all.

Operation Guard Dog was when an ANBU changed places with the asset to provide the asset with an additional layer of identity security. It was rarely used because it required that the asset be skilled enough to pass off as ANBU and the need to protect their identity outweigh the dangers of masquerading as ANBU.
It was fortunate that Minato-sensei had insisted on wearing the ANBU uniform, Kakashi thought to himself.

Summary
The Armourer once told Din that to be Mandalorian is to be both hunter and prey.
He's pretty sure this isn't quite what the Armourer meant.
According to his Creed, Din is now an apostate, dar'manda, no longer Mandalorian, yet he is also Mand'alor courtesy of a weird laser sword that he can't seem to get rid of.
In which Din tries to reconcile with his new titles, goes on a journey of self-discovery, and does his best to ignore the incessant ringing noise emanating from the cursed blade on his belt (but that's ok because he’s starting to get the sense that the feeling is mutual).
