    In a world where all humans are either dom, sub or switch, Park Seonghwa is part of a government programme for vulnerable subs.
    Too bad that he can’t seem to keep any of his assigned doms. They all leave, the moment they find out just how much work he is and how much he’s actually struggling.
    Then he gets assigned to a new dom, Kim Hongjoong.
    Hongjoong is the perfect mix of sweet and stern and an absolute dream to sub for. He actually listens to Seonghwa, almost like he really wants to support and help him.
    But Seonghwa knows better than to trust him. He just has to keep on hiding his struggles, keep on lying, keep on maintaining his perfect mask.
    Maybe, Hongjoong will stay with him then.

    Squirrel hybrid Kim Hongjoong knows what to expect from humans - exploitation, abuse, inhumanity. At the laboratory where he and other hybrids were unethically experimented on, violence and pain was the order of the day. He will never trust humans again, not even the kind workers at the shelter where he is taken after his rescue from the lab.
    Then Hongjoong is adopted by a librarian called Park Seonghwa. Seonghwa is kind, gentle and seemingly perfect. He treats Hongjoong like he is precious, like he matters.
    The temptation to trust Seonghwa is strong, but Hongjoong knows that his kind act is only skin deep. Sooner or later, Hongjoong will find a way to make him angry, to make him show his true colours.
    If only Hongjoong can find the right boundary to push.

    Hongjoong growls approvingly and deepens the kiss, pulling Seonghwa flush against his chest. “We’re going to have some fun then, darling.”

    Heat climbed from Wooyoung’s chest to the very tips of his ears. He turned his head, pressing his cheek to Mingi’s forearm to hide his face. He knew public punishment wasn’t uncommon, especially among packs with strict dynamics, but knowing that didn’t make the embarrassment any easier to swallow. He really was judging Seonghwa right now for how much he indulged in these kinds of things.

    “Well, she’s right about that.” Hongjoong said, his voice calm but edged with unmistakable command. “Focus on me now, sweetheart. This is between you, me, and your conscience.”
