Summary
Tubbo has always known that he wouldn’t be marrying for love.
He was a prince, for one, third in line for the throne for another, so it’s not like he would ever be getting the privilege of choosing even among other royals who he would marry. He’s too valuable to be allowed to choose among some pool of nobles and not valuable enough to be making any kind of decisions. He’s a pawn, a bargaining chip to be married off to the kingdom that makes the best offer.
In a conversation that is basically totally unrelated to the above discussion, Tubbo’s family is dead now. Poisoning. Tubbo is lucky that he’s a picky eater, otherwise he might have eaten more of the soup.
These two totally unrelated parts of Tubbo’s life have come together in this moment, when Tubbo is finally able to make decisions for himself. Like this...

Summary
Of course, in true Tommy fashion, he was in major denial. He couldn't possibly have a crush on him. With Ranboo around, he did feel fuzzier and more complete. But, in general, Ranboo was just comforting that’s what made him him, right?
So why does he find himself looking at him on occasion? Why was it that when Ranboo finally caught up to him on the skating rink, he could feel their gazes fixed on each other? Like they can’t look at anything else, but themselves.
The lights in the skating rink nearly turned Ranboo blue from lack of oxygen, because the lights made Tommy look ethereal. His breath was caught in his throat, and he needed to breathe.
This was the end for both of them; Tommy was screwed, and Ranboo was falling even harder.

It’s ten days before Valentines day, and Tommy doesn’t have a Valentine. Coincidentally, gifts begin appearing from a secret admirer he’s never heard of till now.
Ranboo’s had feelings for Tommy for a while now, and with Valentines day coming close he’s finally decided to make a move. Well, a move in secret that is.
OR…
Ranboo is helplessy in love with Tommy and decided to become his secret admirer.
