Summary
In hindsight, it was foolish to think that getting the whole gang to Scotland for Alison and Mike's wedding would be completely hassle-free. Of course fate would find some way to shove Pat and the Captain into an awkward situation or twenty.
Or:
A sudden change of plans leaves Pat and the Captain sharing a car across the country. They endure terrible traffic, even worse music, and their feelings for each other.

Summary
Pat Butcher is good at one thing, and one thing only: failing.
Still feeling the repercussions of his marriage falling apart, Pat is doing everything he can to keep his bookstore, The Beaver Burrow, afloat. But as bills keep piling up and customers seemingly vanish into thin air, he’s forced to search for new ways to bolster his floundering business.
So, when an opportunity to partner with their local museum arises Pat jumps to accept it. Only now it means he’s forced to work with their assistant curator, Captain Theodore Winston, a man Pat has been embroiled in a bitter rivalry with for the better part of a year.
All Pat has to do is plan one event without murdering his colleague, which may prove to be impossible.

Summary
When Alison places mistletoe up within Button House, the ghosts attempt to accept the festivities for what they are. However, the introduction of such a controversial plant within the house invites arguments and debates regarding the use of the plant as an excuse to kiss anyone that you like.
When it becomes apparent that two of the ghosts have never kissed anyone before, a conversation is sparked surrounding why that may be the case. With Thomas explaining that it was not acceptable in his day to kiss any woman he wants, the Captain explains that it was not acceptable in his day to kiss who he wanted.
And from this, one man learns to open up about who he really is - and invites another to assist him along the way.

Summary
Pat and the Captain have been in a relationship for years. They failed to mention this when Alison first moved into Button House. So did all the others.
Because it was obvious. There was no need to talk about it.
Alison, however, managed to miss any and all clues for years.Basically, everything we see on the show stays the same. And then we get the little scenes in between that undeniably show that those two idiots are madly in love with each other.
