"I love you," has Derek in complete immobility trying to wrap his head around it, suddenly pausing as he washes the dishes. The source of his confusion and sudden paralyzed state of mind has his chin on his shoulder and arms looped around his waist, but the cause of his sudden apraxia remains to be those words.
"I love you," has Avery humming, continuing with his attempts in cooking an omelet with a smile. The words slip through his ears like water through his fingers. Derek is sat on the kitchen table with a convincing look on his face. Somehow Avery finds it hard to swallow those words when they seem so easily said, so he grins.

There’s another quiet laugh, but it doesn’t quite stick the landing. Avery hears the hesitation creeping back in, curling around the edges of D3r’s voice like fog.
“In person,” D3r says, not quite a question.
“Yeah,” Avery says easily, like it doesn’t make his stomach flip. “In person. I wanna meet you.”
The words hang between them.
He watches D3r’s character on screen because it’s easier than imagining D3r’s face doing whatever it’s doing right now. The avatar doesn’t react, of course. Just stands there in the pixelated grass, the moon casting a pale square light over his shoulders. Avery imagines he can see tension in the way the model is angled, which is ridiculous, but he’s very good at projecting onto blockmen at this point.

Blade cracks open his eyes and sees a wooden roof above him. He’s about to move his head to see who had spoken to him before a hand presses softly on his forehead, brushing back some hair that shifted and covered his eye.
“There are no wounds on your face,” the voice mutters, “but multiple shallow ones along the right arm, a broken leg, and a stab right below the ribs.”
There’s a pause and Blade can’t do anything but wait.
There’s a huff. “You’re lucky to have survived long enough for me to find you.”
(Or: A fantasy au where Blade wakes up injured in a cabin with no memories, and Dan Heng was the one to find him. A journey of healing, hoping, and loving.)

"YOU'RE A JERK!-" Regime responded with lightning speed, but he was quickly cut off by the sound of the door slamming against the concrete walls that held their base together. The door was nearly thrown off his hinges. All four of the workers went on guard, slowly looking over to what made the loud noise. In the doorway, a large figure with a lit cigarette and twitching ears was standing.
"Boys." It growled, its eyes glistening red in response to the light. In unison, all four croaked out; "Y- yes, boss?" The figure, being Mafioso himself, stepped forward and entered the light, before shoving the door back into place with his foot, locking it rather aggressively. He took the cigarette out of his mouth, blowing out the smoke for a second as he let out a wheezy cough. He then glared deeply. "It's spring. Y'know what that means." He growled. One of them audibly swallowed hard. Another's tail started wagging.

It's Spring. Mafioso is in a rut... and he has four lovely workers to help him out.
