"I would say I’m a pretty unlucky person, all things considered. Recent events… especially considered. You win gold at Worlds then get slammed with stuff that’s just, just… hell on earth. Then you have to get up and compete again. Win again. (I'm so damn tired.)"
Life is hell, ice is cold, coach is mad, what's new? Matvei Morozov is going to make it to the Olympics, if it kills him.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Maren Cross runs @thesecondmark, the fan channel that can make or break a skater's reputation. Niko Orlov is the quad-stacking American everyone loves to argue about: technically untouchable and impossible to ignore. When her latest video critique of him goes viral, she finds herself face-to-face with the one skater she swore represented everything wrong with the sport...and falling for him anyway.
