Summary
Shane clicked onto the next slide displaying his classroom's schedule and turned back to the group seated facing him. His eyes landed on the parent who had just walked in.
First, this man did not fit in the small chair designed for a second grader.
Second, he was really fucking pretty.
Shane Hollander built his life after college around safe choices: A safe job, safe routines, and a safe distance from the hockey world he abandoned years ago.
That is, until Ilya Rozanov walked into his second grade classroom.
or: Shane is a teacher who ran from hockey. Ilya and his 7 year old daughter help him find his way back.

Summary
“Get back here!”
Harry had never run faster in his life. He wasn’t thinking; his mind was stuck in a loop. Get out, get out, get out. He sprinted down the street. He needed help — he needed help now. He barely made the curve.
Everyone he knew would send him back here if Dumbledore asked them to. The thought was there before he could stop it.
Not the Order.
His feet hurt from how hard they were hitting the ground. His thoughts lagged behind, chasing him too. He didn’t slow down to let them catch up.
——-
One evening, Vernon goes too far.
Harry runs.
He knows he can’t ask the people he knows for help — not about this.
So he runs to the one person he knows would never, under any circumstances, send him back to Dumbledore.

Summary
Shane Hollander when asked about speculations of his boyfriend Ilya Rozanov ‘tanking’ on purpose to reunite with him in Providence : “...What? He gets an earful from me every time they send him down. He has lousy puck control and weak defense and needs to work on his shooting accuracy and you think I want it to stay that way? No I don't want my boyfriend to be a joke of a player, I'd like him to put decent enough numbers that he doesn't get moved up and down the NHL and the AHL like an idiot. Now leave me alone.”
or: Ilya Rozanov is a mediocre fourth liner of the Boston Bears. When he gets outed, the internet theorizes he plays poorly on purpose. His boyfriend isn't amused.
