Summary
One of Gale's biggest strengths happens to be one of his biggest flaws: it only takes one conversation to put an idea in Gale's head and after a chat with Minthara, a certain thought keeps wriggling to the forefront of his mind. Minthara is happy to indulge — with her own twist, of course.
"You didn't answer my question, wizard. What interests you about the two?"
Gale hooks onto it with a twinkle of mirth in his eyes, picking up where he previously left off with the polished grace of a man who is far too used to overindulging every idea.
"Perhaps I wouldn't actively seek out a mindflayer for a lay, but— Well, the logistics of it are interesting. The difference in anatomy, for starters." His head dips away, not fast enough to hide his rosy cheeks. "The only accounts on the subject matter were inherently fictitious. Romance novels that were undoubtedly and very, very clearly someone's fantasy, to clarify."
"You've laid with a goddess, and yet you're curious how a woman could be pleasured by a creature with a set of tentacles?" A set of writhing, inherently slick appendages with articulate control, she thinks, but opts to leave out.

Summary
Soul marks manifest as flowers on the body and define a deep bond between a pair – an indication of the life-lasting effect one's relationship means to the other. To drow, they're seen as an outward, physical sign of weakness.
"What brings you to the temple, high priestess?" She's unable to drop the polite decorum, too entranced by her appearance.
"The Spider Queen called me here," she says, her voice soothing like the gentle notes of a lyre.
Minthara can't help but stare at the belladonna mark. She longs to run a thumb, calloused from decades of swordplay, against the soul mark, to have the priestess's throat tighten and breath hitch when Minthara whispers beautiful.

Summary
The Safety Commission decides to host a gala to mend relations between the public and heroes as well as raise funds for reparations for the city. Shouta doesn't care too much until he finds out he can win a date to the gala with his favorite hero and best friend, Present Mic.
He's pretty sure the likelihood of winning with a single entry is slim.
So Shouta grabs a handful. Actually, it's more than a handful. Maybe too many. If someone bought this many entries for a chance to date him, he would be livid, and would probably assume they were some erratic, disturbed fan. He swallows his pride and hesitates for a moment before throwing the stack on the counter.

Minthara follows the wizard back to Waterdeep, and in a moment of rawness, she contemplates her self-worth.
Minthara has done nothing of value to prove she's worthy of one day donning the matron crown, to feel the unnerving yet beautiful weight of hizagkuur metal upon her head. Her idleness could not warrant the luxury of a meticulously shaped headdress of spindly arachnid legs, one that would delicately curl along her temples like a laurel.
No, because instead of seizing her birthright, Minthara's fallen for the wizard's gentle demeanor. She questions if she's even worthy of that, but she still lets him whisper sweet promises recited in a poetic cadence (words that, if uttered by another, she surely would have called for their end with a swing of her sword), and since following him to his tower, she's allowed him to court her, treat her like some demure Waterdhavian noble maiden.

Summary
Though the war is over, Shouta is left to cope with chronic pain from a lifetime of injuries and scars sustained over his time as a hero. Hizashi suggests an herbal solution to mitigate it.
Hizashi shrugs him off, puts the joint to his lips, and takes a drag.
"Sometimes we make selfish decisions that aren't entirely rational," Hizashi murmurs, smoke spilling out with each word. The visual is oddly tantalizing, even as his cheeriness drops into something more somber. "You're hurting, I'm hurting— so let's just not for a minute, okay? Now, c'mere."
Hizashi lets out a sigh, and Shouta is convinced he can see the tension physically leave the blond's body alongside the wisps of smoke. He flops on their bed and with his free hand, pats the spot next to him. Shouta stares hard before succumbing to curiosity; he sits down and scoots along the bed until he's leaning into the familiar body warmth.

ART said, more cautiously than I was used to from it, This is more akin to physical touch than what you usually find tolerable.
I knew that, but I didn’t like thinking about it. It was fine.
ART took me at my word for it, and having it squish me became part of the things we did when I was anxious or plagued by stress toxins in my system. Sometimes I asked it to do it even when I was feeling okay. It was a nice feeling. At the time I thought of it as comfortable and relaxing. Without someone physically present touching me, it registered more like the pressure of being underwater, and that just didn’t repulse me like touching skin did.
It’s true that it was relaxing, but the reason I liked it so much was secretly that it felt good. I hadn’t even admitted it to myself at the time, but I kept asking ART to squeeze me, and eventually things escalated.
