Summary
Because of the constant stress from fighting, Leon’s plaga is developing faster than normal. To make matters worse, Luis doesn’t have the medicine needed to suppress its growth. But Luis does have something else: a prototype formula that would allow a host to retain their mind, even as the plaga transforms them, turning the plaga’s relationship with the host from parasitic to symbiotic.
Out of options and out of time, Leon takes the drug. When it’s done, Saddler’s voice is gone and Leon’s mind is crystal clear. But now, he has to keep both Luis and Ashley safe and get out of this hellhole in Spain, all the while living his worst nightmare.
