    Ian Malcolm makes a phone call to Ellie Sattler after Isla Nublar, and doesn't call again until after Isla Sorna.
    Both times Ian doesn't know what he's looking for, but he's pretty sure it's not Ellie's company. After all, he only called her after he'd tried to call Alan. Alan never picks up, though. Never seems to listen to his messages.

    This is set in the Feeling Feelings universe, based on my Fic 'Dr's Grant and Malcolm vs Feeling Feelings', and can be read alone, but of course I'll promote the original fic as well [👀]. In that Alan mentions Ian making a frantic phone call to Ellie after Isla Sorna, and I wanted to write that phone call but it felt wrong to do it in the original fic, so here it is! Plus of course, other phone calls.
