“Whatcha got there?” His line of sight now shifting from Will’s face to the sketchbook in his hand. Will was frozen in fear, not sure what to say without piquing his curiosity further.
“Um, just a practice sketch book I have been using to work on my lighting.” It wasn’t a lie, at least.
“What are you drawing?” Mike’s voice had a hint of teasing in it now and he tilted his chin up as if to say 'what on earth could you be finding inspiration from in my mom’s dining room'?
“Oh you know, just odds and ends around the room…” Will heard his voice come out a little too high pitched and he knew it was way too incriminating. He watched in horror as Mike pushed his chair back and stood up, posturing with the obvious intent to cross the space between them and seize the book from Will’s clammy hands. Will slammed the book shut and pressed it against his chest, crossing both arms over it as he stood up to back away from the boy he was just drawing, who was now wearing the mischievous face of a fat cat hunting a delicious canary. He totally had to suspect Will was drawing him, which was something he hadn’t openly shared with him since that godforsaken painting.

Lynn was in math when the siren went off. Sure, everyone knew there was going to be a hurricane. But, the most amount of preparing anyone did was for getting wasted while the wind blew outside.
No one has time to escape. The roads flood and the bridges become unstable. Storm surge and winds drown even the most experianced swimmers.
And it's not just the weather that might kill you.I got bored and decided to write a fun story bc why not. Also there weren't a lot of stories about natural disasters and im a weather nerd so oh well. I also wanted to add another work to my account so I didn't look like a scam.
