Summary
Illuga is an Omega who grew up on very traditional values. But his worldview is turned upside-down when he has a chance encounter with a certain unhinged knight, Lohen. Being from the land of freedom, the knight has no qualms of flirting with an Omega despite being one himself.
Before he realizes, Illuga finds himself in an "arrangement" with Lohen as the two Omegas routinely spend their heats together.
Over time, Illuga questions if he'll ever want an Alpha in his life after experiencing what Lohen could give him.

It all happens at once, a blur of movement, action without conscious thought.
Illuga takes hold of Lohen’s wrist and twists. It’s quick and violent and effective—a question Lohen must answer in a fraction of a second: drop the knife or suffer. Drop the knife or bear witness to his own ligaments tearing.
Lohen gasps, letting the knife slip from his hold. It buries itself upright in the dirt, and when Illuga wrenches him downward, Lohen goes to his knees beside it.
Illuga wants to pretend he doesn’t need their secret trysts. Lohen’s not fond of pretending.

Summary
Not for the first time, Illuga thinks there must be something wrong with him. Maybe he’s been possessed by the Wild Hunt. Maybe the kuuvahki is finally getting to him; one too many mandragoras, or something like that.
Either way, there has to be a reason. Why else would Illuga keep letting Lohen into his bed? Why else would Illuga allow Lohen to use his body again and again, leaving Illuga with bruised skin, aching bones, and a weary heart?
‘Friends with benefits’ is a phrase he’s heard before, and it makes sense. The life of a Lightkeeper can be cold and lonely, so it’s only natural to seek warmth and comfort from another. But Illuga never expected to find himself in such an arrangement, if what they have can even be called that. Lohen’s rough treatment offers no benefits, and they certainly aren’t friends. Illuga doesn’t even like him.
This can’t possibly be what Flins had in mind when he suggested that Illuga take up a new hobby.

Summary
Lohen is a walking disaster from the long-range squad, and Varka is the symbol of the Knights of Favonius. The whole city is waiting for the Grand Master to find a worthy match, never suspecting that he is a virgin, terrified to death of his "monstrous" size. Varka is convinced: loving a boy younger than his own daughter will be the ruin of his reputation. However, Lohen sees right through the Master. He doesn't care about status or propriety – he intends to break through Varka's iron armor.
