Shane seems to realize he still has a hold of Ilya’s hand, drops it quickly, a flush on his cheeks that spreads to his ears.
“Sorry, uh, I’m like, so gross right now, I’m just gonna shower, let you get settled in. Nice to meet you.”
He does a dorky little wave, turns, half turns back to wave again and nearly brains himself on the doorframe on his way into the bathroom, and Ilya is delighted to find that the blush travels all the way down the back of his neck.
