She shrugs. "Fine, I guess. He's just a boss; it's only three months. It's not about him, it's… Al-Hashimi is…"
"Different," Dr Sato finishes when Trinity trails off.
"Yeah, different."
Everything was different with Al-Hashimi. The way she commanded a room, taught, asked questions, corrected mistakes and behaviour. Praise was emphasised, repeated, and criticism was firm but gentle— a style reminiscent of Collins and Samira, definitely not Robby or Langdon.
Trinity had jumped to conclusions and yelled at a mother the other day, having to be pulled away by Ahmad, and while Al-Hashimi was absolutely resolute that nothing like that was to happen ever again, she followed it up by praising her capacity for compassion and patient advocacy, punctuated by a soft squeeze to her shoulder.
A gesture that, unfortunately, was now a regular occurrence in Trinity's dreams.

She looks at Baran’s mouth. She could kiss her, she thinks.
‘Trinity,’ Baran says, voice low and edged with warning.
‘What?’ She looks straight at Baran, smirks a little.
‘What are you doing?’ She tilts her head, bores straight into Trinity’s eyes.
Trinity’s heart drops deliciously. Baran’s eyes glint and her voice is so honeyed and she’s looking at her like fucking that and of course Trinity is gonna fucking say something. Trinity isn’t even really flirting with her, not yet.
‘’M not doing anything,’ she mumbles. She leans a little closer.
Baran smirks. ‘Trinity.’
‘What?’ she repeats. She’s smiling. She could kiss her.
