Children may learn that it is acceptable to behave in a degrading way to other people, as they have seen this occur in the violent episodes they witnessed. Appropriate support and counselling will help children to grow up learning how to relate to others with trust and respect.”

Kakashi stared. And stared. And stared and stared and stared some more, but he still can't seem to get enough of what he was seeing.
But then this was a world in war, all was still in hell, they had war dogs beyond the borders and inside the walls, and Gai was all but lost since Kakashi daren't remembered and - could Kakashi even say he was a good friend to Gai? He couldn't even, shame on him, remember the last time he'd actually talked to Gai OR bothered to keep tabs on his well-being or life (that was ages, years ago, right after Gai had just received his chuunin vest and almost immediately went MIA with his entire team after their dispatch to what was supposedly a deadly mission), so naturally, of course Kakashi wouldn't know if the bastard sired a son or not.
"Hey, kid, sorry for staring so much. Where's your mother? Or father?"
"I have no parents. I'm an orphan."
And Kakashi, senior in living through this cruel, cruel world, but had his - he was proud of it, he begrudgingly admitted so - talents and ingenuity to survive on, was going to make sure this child survived in this world.
