But when he finally steps into the JCC pool area, he realizes nothing could’ve prepared him for the sight.
(There’s a girl in traditional-wear on the floor, unconscious. There's also a guy –who bears a striking resemblance to her– holding a bloody, bruised, barely-moving Seba Natsuki by the collar, about to throw what seems like the final hit.)
Seba turns his head, noticing Shin’s arrival. He manages a few words:
“Yo. You’re still as slow as ever, huh? Took you long enough to get here.”
It’s deadpan.
It's effortlessly cocky.
It's everything that defines ‘Seba Natsuki’ to Shin.
It is also everything Shin doesn’t want to hear right now.-

There was a good stretch of silence before Sakusa abruptly looked down to the table, clearing his throat. Bokuto began very pointedly trying to look busy, picking up his phone which was completely off, and Atsumu understood why, as the man with the white hair brushed past him.
