    Arlo watches Rozanov catch the small gesture their boss gives him and grab the black coat off his shoulders, draping it over one arm with his black leather gloved hands. It freaks Arlo out a little, the wordless communication that Boss has with his bodyguard. The way they move like a single being, with Hollander always a step ahead but never more than that step far. Rozanov walks if Boss walks, like there’s an invisible leash latched to some collar that only Hollander can tug at.

    It must be so humiliating, he thinks just as Boss climbs the long flare of stairs that lead to the main entrance and Rozanov follows behind him like an obedient dog. He wonders if he burns with the shame of subduing himself like that. Of reducing his entire existence to a single man out of obligation.

    Or, italian mafia boss shane hollander and his guard dog through the eyes of an employee. and then through shane's own eyes.

    On the poster, Ilya’s own face looked back at him through a Snapchat dog filter, the image clearly taken to show off his flexed torso. Ilya didn’t recognize the selfie. He could’ve sent it to any number of girls. Someone had put jail bars over the image and below it, in bold letters, was simple text:

    ILYA ROZANOV:
    THIS MAN IS A DOG!
    TEXT IRIS TO JOIN THE SUPPORT GROUP

    Following the tuna melt diaster, Ilya goes out to a bar in Boston and sees a poster for an Ilya Rozanov support group. Posing as Lily, he joins a group chat of his past consquests and discovers that he's not nearly as hard to figure out as he thinks he is.
