    He looked pointedly in their direction. Bruce felt a sudden chill of dread.
    “Batman has been staring at your lips all meeting. Just take him.”

    Clark needs a "mate" to accompany him to an alien planet. Bruce can't leave Gotham, but he can poke around in Clark's alien mouth for totally unrelated, non-kissable reasons. Reasons that totally won't lead to any changes of plans.
