Relief flooded Edvin but also a touch of panic as he realized he hadn’t yet thought this far ahead. So, like the coward he had been for so many years, he slipped out from under the covers, trying to wobble the mattress as little as possible, and padded down the hall to the bathroom.
As Edvin washed his hands, he squinted at himself in the mirror. What do you want? The truth was, he didn’t know. He was certain of the complexity of his feelings for Omar. The way he had always been drawn to him, the connection he knew they shared.
All the ways you do want him, the thought rose unbidden.
