Summary
Sieun looked at the compass. Its needle was sharp, easily piercing holes in the paper whenever he used it. Suddenly, he felt the strange urge to test it on his own skin. He brushed it off initially as something ridiculous. Why would he even do such a thing?
But that thought kept coming to him over and over as he worked on his assignments. Eventually, the boy gave in, pressing the compass against his hand. The sharp pain flashed through his hand as the needle slowly sank into the soft flesh, but Sieun didn't stop. He just looked, somewhat fascinated, as a single drop of blood trickled down his skin.
He didn't know why, but the sight, along with the sharp sting in his hand, helped him clear his mind. For the first time in many days, Sieun thought maybe he did have control over something.

Suho doesn't let go, running his hand across his back softly. He tries to comfort him. “Everything's okay, Sieun-ah. I'm right here.”
As Sieun shudders violently against him, Suho has to attempt to calm himself down too. Snapping him out of this clearly isn't working, is he just going to have to wait until Sieun wakes up on his own? This doesn't seem like a normal nightmare.
In which Sieun suffers from night terrors, and Suho quickly has to learn to navigate them.

“What? You don’t believe me?” Suho clumsily gets rid of his shoes and turns to him. “You know I never lie to you, Sieun-ah. And I’m telling you, you're pretty. Like, really pretty. Y'know that?”
“Yeah, and you are clearly still drunk.”
“So what?” Suho pouts his lips. And then he suddenly straightens up. “But I will be sober tomorrow,” he continues, triumphantly pointing his finger at Sieun. “And you're still gonna be pretty!”
Sieun chuckles before he can stop himself.
