“I don’t recommend it.”
Draco smirked. “You literally told us—”
“I should have just ignored it. It was so much worse.”
“Well, next time, we’ll—sorry. No next time, of course.” Draco smirked at the obvious lie.
Percy restrained a scream.
“Next time,” Percy said, stepping very close. Draco raised his eyebrows. “Do whatever the fuck you want. I’m going to pretend I’m not sharing a room. Anything I hear at night is a fucking delusion. All right? We’re not discussing it.”
“That’s what you want, is it?” Draco’s words were very quiet.
“That’s what I want.”
Draco nodded, then stepped away. “As you wish.”

“Potter? Is that you?” Harry turned to look over his shoulder and froze.
Approaching him, a polite frown on his brow, was Draco Malfoy.
He’d always stood a few inches taller than Harry, but he suddenly seemed exceptionally tall and regal in his baby pink, velvet suit jacket, his smart black trousers and his crisp white shirt and matching white bow tie. His hair, though cut short at the sides and around the back, was longer and coifed back stylishly at the top. Did he… did he find Malfoy attractive?

Summary
“This is where you’ve been living?” Potter asked quietly.
And as if it were a paid actor, a rat appeared from one side of Draco’s living room, paused in the middle of the floor to look up at them, then disappeared through a hole in the opposite wall.
“Why?” Potter turned to him with wide eyes.
Draco shrugged. “Told you my family didn’t want me to join the Aurors. And it’s not that bad, I promise.”
On cue, the rat reappeared from the hole in the wall, and sprinted in the direction of Draco’s tiny bathroom.
“Right!” Weasley said loudly. “Well! That’s that decided then. I think you’re coming to live with us, mate.”
And that was how Draco ended up living at number twelve Grimmuald Place.

Draco and Harry were friends. That's all they were, and Draco needed to learn to be grateful for that fact, no matter how much he wanted to reach out and touch Harry at every opportunity.
