"I hc that after Elphaba's "death", Glinda came out and saw the hat, but still held out a little hope, crying out Elphaba's name, hoping she would come out, and after a while her hope turned to despair. And Elphaba, below the trapdoor, had to listen to Glinda, desperately wanting to reveal herself, and having to hold herself back."
