Chase Hollow was in Romania for a trip, but thanks to his cousin and a job offering, he found himself dragged into a haunting mystery. Seriously- he’s not even a ghost hunter, how did he get hired for this? Maybe the creepy manor will have a vampire. -

Nox had wanted to let it burn. Really, this was just his version of giving mercy to the cursed thing. It would go to a new home- a landfill, preferably, and Nox would able to sleep a bit more peacefully with Chase in his arms tonight. He closed the dumpster lid, letting a small smile sneak onto his lips. "Goodbye, Alastair." He said, the venom clear in his tone as he spat the name out before he turned on his heel and walked back on the gravel pathway inside.

Chase doesn’t want it to end.
He’s sure that Buddy doesn’t want it to either, curled up as he is, on the edge of sleep.
The book has been a busy one, and although Buddy might not have had an active part in most of the narrative, he’s kept Chase company the entire way, and now they finally have a moment to put their feet up that it’s resulting in Buddy curling into the cushions like a house-cat finding a square of sunlight.His eyes are closed and he looks entirely at peace. Chase would like to take some credit to his contentment given the way Buddy’s arms are looped loosely around his waist, head pillowed on his chest and one of Chase’s hands idly winding strands of his twilight-dark hair around stray fingers.

And at the beginning of each day, they would have to sigh and look longingly at the view of the famous candy store, the Ivory Hope, run by Ralph Hollow.
The candies weren’t the only reason the Ivory Hope was famous, because there would be glitter, music, and even audience participation. This was all performed by Ralph’s youngest grandson, Chase, and people would claim that it was magic drawing them back to the doors of the Ivory Hope.
However, Ralph would always laugh it off and assure the customers it was only the sweets that made them come back…Or.
