Summary
One cannot find their way across the murky, wine-dark sea without first losing themselves.
The Pan Pacific Wind Ensemble is setting out on its inaugural international tour. Funded by Shao Industries, the tour seeks to promote peace through musical performance. Its members land in Hong Kong three weeks prior to the premiere to begin rehearsals. Many of these musicians have previously recorded for the Shao Android Orchestra, who pose direct competition to ensemble's future success.
Dr. Newt Geiszler, principal trumpet, and Dr. Hermann Gottlieb, principal bassoon, are assigned to be roommates. They'll be housed together for ten months, but first, they must make it to the premiere.

The Hong Kong Shatterdome is holding their annual Mario Kart tournament. All experience levels are welcome to participate! Prizes include shift swaps, extra day-off passes, and a get-out-of-cleaning-up-kaiju-guts-free card.
Never one to back down from a challenge issued by one Newton Geiszler, Hermann Gottlieb decides to enter the tournament with only one goal in mind: winning.
With two months of lead time, Newt has some interesting tactics to make Hermann git gud.

Summary
“That’s not-” Shane starts, but he stops himself. Ilya tilts his head slightly in question, but Shane bites the inside of his cheek and then shakes his head slightly, cheeks flushing. “I do trust you,” Shane says.
“But not with your car?” Ilya asks. “You are afraid I will drive all the boring out of it?”
Shane rolls his eyes.
“It’s a good car-” He starts in another refrain of one of his favorite summer songs.
Ilya rolls them and pins his boyfriend under him before he has to hear about four wheel drive and gas mileage again.
There are far better uses for Shane’s mouth, after all.
