Todoroki's under a whole ton of stress between his father's expectations and everyone else's. Everyone seems to have an idea of how he should act except him. In his own head he's simply a tool, a well sharpened weapon for his father to wield. He's not used to people. Not used to the whispers and rumors and bullying. Not to mention Aizawas's check ins.

Todoroki's stressed, kids are jerks, Endeavor's an abusive dick and Aizawa knows something's up, and he will get to the bottom of it.

Nico barely had time to react before Apollo closed the distance, his chest pressing firmly against Nico’s back. He loomed over him, a presence both protective and terrifying.
“Let me show you,” Apollo murmured, his voice no longer light, no longer human. “Who and what exactly I am.”
Nico felt the shift in the air, felt the temperature rise, felt the weight of something vast and burning flood the space behind him. It was like standing at the heart of a supernova, at the edge of something too bright, too pure, too terrible to comprehend.
