Jeff moved here for exactly two reasons:
1. It's cheap, and
2. It's far, far away from his former law firm, and anyone who might remotely recognize his face.
He did not move here to be subjected to the neighbors. He hates those neighborly sorts of neighbors, the ones who might try to bring him gift baskets, or wave cheerfully at him from their porch when he tries to leave for a run in the mornings. The ones who put stupid little garden gnomes in their lawn or drop by unannounced, asking to borrow sugar.
And certainly not the sorts of neighbors who live next door; namely, the walking beam of sunshine Troy Barnes, or his soulful-eyed husband, Abed.

Summary
The SQUIP's voice has always been in Jeremy's head after the events of the play. Slowly, steadily, it was getting louder and stronger. Jeremy knows that, for the sake of human civilization, he has to resort to drastic measures--specifically, a little red-dyed bottle of drastic measures that costs a hundred dollars if you know the right guy at Spencer's.
Much like everything else in Jeremy's life, his plan does not go as intended.
(Alternatively: Everyone's Extremely Confused why Jeremy is suddenly wifi compatible and also sort of a douche.)

Summary
It’s been three months now since Eddie moved onto the property given to him in his grandfather’s will. He’d been going through a bit of a crisis at the time, having just broken off his 3-year engagement with Myra and realized he was gay and quit his job. Everything had been very bad at the time, but Eddie had been high on the adrenaline of making drastic life choices. What he should have done, probably, was sell the property and the farmhouse and then used that money to restart his life in the city, where he had prospects and applicable skills. But instead he packed up his shit and moved to Derry, population almost-zero, to the farm he spent his summers on until his dad died and hasn’t seen since then, deciding to...become a farmer. Or something.
OR: a sort of vaguely Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon AU, because why not
