Their newly established relationship had started off so well. The two would go on frequent dates and talk for hours, play games together and wouldn't be without the other for long.
But something always felt off.
It felt like Sunghoon was the only one wanting to go on said dates, was the only one talking for hours, was the only one so enthusiastic about playing games with Jake simply because it was with Jake, and was the one always wanting to be with Jake.
Was Sunghoon being too forward? Was Sunghoon being too touchy? Did Sunghoon try too much? Maybe Jake doesn't like his relationships this way.
Sunghoon always tried to not think of the fact, the possibility that Jake might not see him in that way despite dating him.
He was right in the end.

what in the actual FUCKERY is wrong with the damn people in this fic?? none of the seven are innocent (maybe except jayke but i'll elaborate later) and somehow that makes me think that they're all oddly made for each other??
heeseung. while he definitely wasnt the worst in this fic, he wasnt the best either. whatever him and sunghoon had going on was full of shit and love because him pushing sunghoon into a swamp was diabolical???
jay. who i'd claim as ths most neutral in this fic. yes his strudel almost ended up killing sunoo, but he didn't even do anything to do it, and as far as i know, he didn't do majorly bad either. but the way he was shifty sometimes did not sit right with me, like ho get your game up jungwons literally punching the shi out of you rn???
jake. oh, jake. while he wasnt even around to do anything, he never told anyone what was happening despite having clear suspicions with evidence when it came to riki. and deciding to study shit with him albeit all that is the craziest decision ever like you could have handled that sm better. but his love for riki persisted in the end since he wanted to cover his own death as a suicide.
sunghoon. okay he didnt do much in terms of action but there's one thing that pmo the most. he knew who the killer was (assuming that he DID know it was riki and not someone else), and decided to keep it from sunoo and the others? not to mention he told sunoo to accept his proposal, and then he would tell him who jake's killer was like my dude that is straight up exploitation.
sunoo. i felt bad because he couldnt ever catch a damn break im telling you in each chapter there was ALWAYS something going on from getting poisoned, to almost drowning, to falling out of windows, and getting into a car crash??? but i cant label him as just a victim because i feel as if he was an instigator for everything that happened. riki's behavior was obviously shit yet sunoo still smiled and giggled like bro get that japanese kid out NOW
jungwon. at first i thought he was going to be another character in this series that was fairly neutral—that was until the whole car incident thing took place. like holy airball never mind??? i think he had a feeling that someone would to come get them, but why take sunoo with you? like ygs are messed up bad. and him wanting to put a laxative in the strudel solely to embarass jay is sick
riki. the final piece of the puzzle. i thought he was truly innocent, hell, i forgot ab him for a while. that is until the big confession. while riki is completely wrong for doing all of these things, no one else told him otherwise. jake tried through action, yeah, but it clearly wasnt enough cause hes just a fucking MENANCE to everyone that isnt sunoo. it wasnt js when he killed jake, he was obviously wrong in the head then as well. ripping jakes workbook apart, killing sunghoons frog, breaking jungwons favorite set of pencil crayons like this guy was a freak and not in the good way. and assuming he was the one who genuinely poisoned the strudel was insane. for him to be able to hide it for so long up until the ending was crazy, not to mention he literally almost killed sunoo after THEN COMMITTED SUICIDE?? LIKE IT NEVER ENDS IM TELLING YOU
overall, this fic was something new other than js the blatant romance i read and i appreciate the raw shock and emotion this genuinely made me feel.

or, where Riki’s nightmare comes to life after he gets left behind at boarding school for the holidays. Jungwon manages to make it feel like a dream he never imagined could come true.

holy fuck this was amazing and phenomenal and every aspect either made me wna cry or jump off a cliff. maybe both.
the relationships and dynamics in this were absolutely insane like the love triangle w heesunjake, wonkis cute relationship, and wtv the mess w jayhoon was.
i always feel bad for sunoo in the sense that while yeah, he and heeseung werent ever srs and that they both treated each other like shit, but jake starting to date heeseung not even a month after they separated was insane to me. obviously jake cant help his feelings and he shouldnt have to hold himself back for sunoo but it was so overwhelming cause lowk all three of them are shitheads.
jayhoon was equally distressing even if their relationship didnt get as much coverage as the others. and jay taking the blame for the nyc trip like omd dont make me cry. on a funnier note, sunghoon being held back by his crutches was so funny like they all went into town and that mf was stuck making paper mache shit and begging for a burger. i need those two to travel tgt and be all sappy like riki and jungwon.
wonki were the only two that didnt make me want to rip my hair out 24/7, like those two were so cute and everyone shipping them was so funny like what.
