Han Seo breathed out a sigh of relief upon reaching the third floor landing. His father had wanted him to have the biggest room on the ground floor, but Han Seo had talked him out of it. Back then, he wasn’t sure if he’d regret doing so, but it had turned out for the better for him. He’d had more privacy, and during the more gruesome semesters where he couldn’t make time for the gym or other activities, the daily battle with the staircase had helped keep him in shape.
As he rounded the corner into the lobby leading to his room, looking forward to falling into bed and sleeping the day away, he came to a halt, feeling his plans going down the drain.

Mind made up, he quickly set to work, picking some bloodroots, a few trout lilies, some dewberries, and a couple other flowers he didn’t know the names of, and collected them into a pretty bunch, smiling happily as he gazed at the pleasant little bundle.
As he was busy making some last touches, thinking of maybe plucking a few more flowers, a shadow fell over him. It was too tall and defined to be that of a little animal, at least the ones that Han Seo was used to in this forest, and the young man almost dropped his makeshift bouquet.
