“You win,” he murmured. Jabber, again, had his demeanor suddenly change. He looked at Zanka without the slightest malice, despite him having just tried to kill him a few seconds earlier.

A soft laugh came from Jabber, his eyes dilated, “Just hit me again, yeah?” His smug smile lifted his cheeks.

Goosebumps prickle on the back of his neck as he swing his head around to look for the source of his discomfort.
“Who’s there!” Zanka heard a familiar tinkling of metal charms immediately came to mind before he saw none other than Jabber Wonger emerge from behind a hill of trash.
“Zankaa you caught me man, and i thought i was being sneaky.” Jabber sighed in faux disappointment, his familiar blood boiling grin pasted on his face.

"No," Enjin agreed quietly. "He's probably not. But people change. Circumstances change. And if there's anyone in this wretched world who might be able to pull him back from the edge, it's probably you." He nudged Zanka with his elbow, a ghost of his earlier grin returning. "Besides, if he steps out of line, you can just kick his ass again. You've done it before. He enjoys it, though..."

Summary
As a vampire, Zanka Nijiku should be revered. A protector of mankind. After all, that’s what the Hell Guard were. Except, he was exceedingly normal by human standards. Yes, by human standards. Yes, he was a vampire. No, he wasn’t anything special. No, he wasn’t a part of the Hell Guard, at least, not anymore.
However, he was, most certainly, a disappointment to many.
Instead of living the life of a celebrity or hero like most vampires, he was an average college freshman. Perhaps his life would be peaceful if he didn't get so many stares due to his few vampiric features. Oh, and if it weren't for the annoying prick that sat next to him in his biology lecture that couldn't take a hint that he was unwanted.
OR: Zanka is a defective vampire and Jabber is secretly a werewolf. They might kiss.
