Summary
Satoru Gojo has spent his entire life hidden behind palace walls.
Born with eyes that can glimpse the future but cannot properly see the world before him, he is worshipped as the Divine Oracle, protected as a sacred treasure, and watched closely enough that even solitude is rarely his own.
Then Suguru Geto is appointed as his new Keeper.
Suguru is supposed to guide his steps, attend his ceremonies, and make certain Satoru remains exactly where the kingdom wants him. Instead, he gives Satoru stories, laughter, and a world larger than the rooms built to contain him.
For the first time, Satoru begins to imagine a life beyond the one he had been assigned by birth.

The signature fondness in his voice, the unchanged way of Suguru saying his name—so familiar it sends an arrow sharp through Satoru's chest. He masks the pain, nodding back and saying, "Suguru."
"Have you finally come to kill me?" It's said with a lilt in his voice, dark eyes twinkling.
"I might," Satoru replies airily, matching Suguru's tone. "But the weather's too nice for killing."

“They?”
“The people,” Gojo said mysteriously. He opened the can, foam spurting everywhere. “Gumi! You shook up the can, didn’t you!”
“Phrase it like a question and I might answer.”
“Did you shake up the can?”
“Yes.”
“Called it.” Gojo took a sip, leaving him with a foam moustache. “But anyway, I have fun pictures somewhere. Maybe.”
