It is seven days to the minute after Conrad Fisher took Belly to prom and subsequently broke her heart, that the sound of his custom ringtone startles her awake.
Conrad's going through it, and accidentally calls to let Belly know. Susannah's getting sick, and Belly, Belly is doing her best to take responsibility for all of that. Even when Conrad doesn't necessarily want her to; through phone calls and fake dating and roadtrips and countless uncomfortable conversations, maybe these two can find a way to actually hear each other out, at the very least, Belly refuses to let them die trying.

Donna shakes her head, her stomach up in knots. “Jackie. I’ve had my period twice since we’ve been on the road.”
But Jackie only turns back to the list in her hands. “Any day now,” she whispers.
Donna gets abandoned, then dumped via letter. Jackie gets her entire future ripped from her hands. Suddenly, staying in Point Place seems pointless, and their rekindled friendship takes Donna and Jackie on an adventure in search of themselves.
