The handwriting is definitely her own, but there's something slightly different about it, too. It's written in blue instead of pink, the pen she must have used laying innocently to her right. She reaches out hesitantly, picking up the pink pen before she can start thinking too hard about why.

Summary
Box would like to clarify that he doesn’t spy on people. That would be a horrid invasion of privacy. But, you see, it’s not his fault that he sees things when his neighbors have such a bad habit of leaving them in plain sight.
So! With that established: Box saw Viking disappear into one of his little hideouts yesterday, and hasn’t seen him since. It would be rather un-neighborly not to check on him, wouldn’t you say?
Yes, of course you would. So really, it’s not creepy at all for Box to be slipping through the secret entrance under cover of night, into the space that Viking obviously wanted to be private. He’s just being a good neighbor, yeah? Of course.
Or,
Navigator’s presence in Viking’s body, no matter how fleeting, left him weakened and vulnerable to illness for a while after. Determined to not show vulnerability, he tucks himself away in a hole somewhere to wait out the fever. Unfortunately, Box has this handy habit of seeing things he’s not supposed to, and an appetite for suffering.Or,
Do not underestimate a cornered, wounded animal. They will bite. -
