Regulus wouldn't say he is an impulsive person. Sure the past few years he has gone through like twenty jobs and lived in ten different cities, but that just means he has commitment issues and at least he is self aware. So when he decides to move to LA on a random Thursday in July he figures he might as well try being a firefighter. What's the worst that could happen? He could die, but he has gone through too much to think that wouldn't be a gift.
Sirius would say his life is good, maybe even great He has a job he loves, with a great boss, awesome friends, a good home in a city he loves, and most importantly he is far away from all the problems of his past, or so he thought. That is until it walks right back into his life, or he walks right into Regulus.
James wouldn't say he is IN LOVE with the new EMT, which just so happens to hate him, and is THE Regulus, his best friend's little brother from his abusive family. He can objectively say he does maybe think he is hot, but he doesn't like him and there is a difference.
