    I don't even know how to describe this
    Very cinematic, sensual with a side of creepy and a rhythm that's present from the first sentence. You know how this will end but it pulls you along and you can't wait to see how the characters get there.

    So much of this fic is silent communication, which, of course, make the words actually said hit all the harder. There's also a line about memory and the transformative nature of it that's going to keep me up at night I just know it.

    This also gets a gold star for inspiring me to watch Donnie Darko again.
    While the plot is very different, the somnambulant feeling of unreality, when you've been awake for so long the edges of the world start to become fuzzy is spot on.

    It can be repetetive and confusing at times but it's supposed to be, just go with it and enjoy the ride.

    I don't even go here but I love this SO much!

    I found it ages ago through the crack!van and then lost it, I am so happy to have found it again.

    reading this always gives me the impression of a running river, where everyone is trying their best and doing what they can whilst being trapped in the roles they've been dealt. there is something calm and understated about the writing in this, that actions unfold almost like a play.

    Rues pov feels both resigned and determined, too young to deal with the horrors she's dealing with, but far too used to it.
    this story has stayed with me for so long and it's nice to see that this fic is still as good as I remembered<3
