“Try again,” Tsumiki commands, “your nose twitches when you’re thinking. You’re supposed to concentrate!” Satoru groans, flopping on his side.“You don’t have to go and poke Sukuna, you know.” Megumi is quick to remind him, eyes sleepy and lazy. “You could just… do literally anything else?”

“You should be kind to people,” she tells him, “but also don’t baby them. God doesn’t help those who don’t help themselves.”
In the 30th loop Satoru teleports to her door even though he hasn’t seen her since the day Tsumiki fell asleep. She’s sick, cancer spreading, fighting it but there isn’t much left in her body. Here, but not really. He tells her he fucked up so badly that the universe resets him back. He rumbles about Suguru manically, as if someone like her could ever know the answer. She tells him he has no business crying over a man, an echo of the fire and temper from before.
“As they say, one meant to be hanged won’t drown.” She says when Satoru, almost half crying, admit to killing Suguru. The meaning of her words haunts him more than he’d like to admit.

Sukuna’s eyes reached him. Their eyes met on an equal plane. The fallen one had smirked at the honored one.
After all, maybe the only one who can understand the tsunami is the hurricane? Only a calamity can reach the other without getting destroyed.

Suguru’s eyes widened.
“I think that when you killed that village, you couldn’t face the piece of shit that you are. You couldn’t accept that you were a puny human who gave into the heat of your emotions. You did what the weak do all the time. You need a purpose and hate is the simplest meaning of all.” Satoru was being cruel. He was never cruel to Suguru because for the longest time he’d always thought Suguru hung the moon and the stars. “So, you decided that the conclusion to go off on is that non shamans must be eradicated to make curses disappear cause you can’t handle being the morally wrong one for just once in your fucking life.”
